Private William Gammon

Little is known about the background or military service of William Gammon.

He joined the North Irish Horse at some point during the war. (While records give his regimental number as 41258, this does not match the usual sequencing of North Irish Horse numbers.) He served overseas during the war, probably in France with the regiment.

In late July 1919 he was transferred to or re-enlisted in The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) – No. L/12397.
